One of the most difficult challenges for international students is to connect with Canadians. In VIU we would like to make it possible for a few of them to learn about traditions and the generosity of this country in the best way possible: by sharing into the holiday celebrations.
We encourage faculty and staff from the VIU community to invite a student or a group of students into their home for a meal. In this way your family can learn first hand about other cultures (we have students from more than 80 different countries), and the students will experience what Canadian holidays are about.
