What is International Academic Support (IAS)?
Our services are designed to help second language students improve their English skills as they work through degree, diploma, and certificate programs at VIU.
We can help you with your research, writing, reading, speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, or any other language issue. Students can book two 30-minute sessions per week per course for one-on-one assistance or for small-group assignments.
We can also provide support to students specifically first-year science and mathematics courses.

"The IAS team helped me to sail through effectively in my pursuit of learning the APA style of writing and referencing. I would like to specially mention about Matthew Finlayson, who has not only helped to hone my academic writing skills, but at the same time has been a guiding force in enhancing my life skills and teaching me some very important lessons about stress management and work-study-life balance.
My heartfelt thanks to the entire IAS team for their support.”
Patrali, MBA Candidate
