Here, you will have the opportunity to hone your axes throwing skills to set wooden targets in your own practice lane.  Challenge fellow students in your group by starting off with the smaller sized hatchets and work yourself up to the full-sized lumberjack axes! Afterwards, come wet your whistle and relax those axe throwing muscles and join Cultural Connections as we head over to White Sails Brewery! Our quick trip to the brewery will include: A flight of White Sails beer samplers (4 small tasters), large social spaces to mingle and access to board games. Axe & GrindWe’re bringing this quintessentially Canadian backyard sport indoors so you can experience something new with friends. Before each session, our experienced staff will teach you how to throw an axe in a safe and fun environment, paving the way for a bit of competition amongst friends. Once you hear the satisfying thud of an axe into wood, you’ll be hooked. White Sails Brewery White Sails Brewing is an award-winning Brewery and Taproom located in downtown Nanaimo, BC. Inspired by Island living and the natural beauty surrounding us, White Sails has built a reputation on developing clean, crisp, award-winning beers that provide a window into the community around us. With an ever-changing craft beer list, a curated, locally sourced food menu, wines and ciders and a full espresso bar, the White Sails Taproom is the place to go to relax and connect with the community. What to Wear:Appropriate clothing and footwear for walking.
