On Vancouver Island, snow is often viewed as something that happens in the mountains and rarely affects our day-to-day lives. This presentation by Dr. Bill Floyd, Research Hydrologist with the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resource Operations, will provide an overview of the current snow measurement network and technology used in BC, the importance of snow to people and the economy, and how we can use this data to adapt to climate change. This event is part of the VIU Science & Tech Community Lecture Series.
