Intercultural Hip Hop Cypher

Past and present participants of VIU's Intercultural Hip Hop Forum will flex their improvisation rap skills at this online version of the hip hop forum's popular pub night that would usually happen at the Students' Union Pub. The online format allows artists from past years to easily participate and have a reunion of sorts while sharing their talents and mutually inspiring each other's creativity and passions. Cyphers are a classic part of hip hop culture and are often the place where rappers get their start and hone their skills. The gatherings are known for their participatory, spontaneous and inclusive qualities both for audience and emcees.
